“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” : M.K. Gandhi
On 2nd October 1869, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born in Porbandar. Little did the world know then, that he would go on to become one of the major architects of the India Freedom Struggle. And this day would be celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti. Mahatma Gandhi, the father of our nation, fondly called as Bapu was the man that revolutionised the ideas governing politics, manufacturing, struggle, independence etc.
In serving the entire nation, Gandhi Ji did not only discover himself but helped an entire nation explore its own potential and grow from the inside. The Gandhian Philosophy and chain of ideas helped this Nation to have an inclusive growth module.
In 1918, with his movement for Khadi, Gandhi Ji built the foundations on which the grand artefact of Indian manufacturing stands. What started as a relief programme for the poor masses, has now transformed as one of the most cherished and celebrated ‘desi’ Indian Industry. Khadi industry is the sun of the Indian textile solar system that is a symbol of self-reliance and self-government.
The hand skill and the high craftsmanship that goes behind the Khadi products make it a product of the elite class. The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi supports Khadi products in a unique way by not only wearing it but by fashioning it in a new and iconic way. The half Khadi Kurtas adorned by the Prime Minister have found a dynamic appeal amongst the masses.
Working on, Patanjali leads the way of the Indian manufacturing industry. The increasing reach of its “Swadeshi Andolan” aims at giving financial freedom to India with its entire chain giving employment to the people to make them self-sustaining and empowered.
On this occasion, let us all take out our Khadi Kurtas and wear it with a feeling of pride. If you don’t have one, then rush to the Gandhi Ashram outlets to avail the bumper discount offers. You might also want to taste the ‘Patanjali Energy Bar’ to make the day a bit more sweet.
Let us all support these Swadeshi products and empower our indigenous manufacturers and believe in the idea:
